Updated: Dec 11, 2023

Our road-trip starts here! We picked up our car from Toyota

兵庫県神戸市中央区布引町4-2-6

For 4 days, we paid ¥32230 (including rental of ETC card)

Pick up at 8am - Set off at 8:10am

Less than a minute walk from JR Sannomiya Station (and around 5min walk from our hotel), this is a convenient pick up point. Car’s all ready. For two people, we had enough space. Just push the backseat down, and voila! More space!

There is something comforting about watching flowers sway in the breeze.

Arrived at 9am - Depart at 10:30am

Since we were meant to drive through Awaji Island, it would be worthwhile to break our long journey, rest our feet and see some beautiful flowers.

The purple Mealycup sage ブルーサルピア, bright red Scarlet sage サルピア, spindly Spider flower クレオメ, and cheerful Garden cosmos コスモス were in full bloom.

Caressed by the warm sun rays, the flowers smiled at everybody who wandered around the park, mesmerised.

At the entrance of the park, there is a shop which sells fresh fruits and vegetables. We picked up a box of ripe figs. So sweet!

They sell onions which is a popular local produce. Sweet, juicy and tender. Best baked, whole, in the oven, then cut into half, serve. I got myself a bag to bring home!
